Regulatory Committee
Primary Function
The primary function of this Board Committee is to assist the Board in managing and reviewing regulatory changes and/or regulatory decisions arising from the National Electricity Law, Rules and Regulations.
Responsibilities
In meeting its obligations, the Board Regulatory Committee will:
- review the governance, policy, and strategy of decisions with regulatory implications;
- provide guidance on current and emerging regulatory issues and advise the Board on regulatory strategy;
- oversee the preparation, review and submission of TransGrid's Revenue Reset;
- review and guide strategy associated with the Regulatory Reset, legislative and regulatory change processes;
- review TransGrid plans, processes and compliance necessary to achieve regulatory outcomes;
- review and provide guidance on regulatory stakeholder relationships including the national electricity regulators;
- review TransGrid's human and capital resource plans to meet its vital regulatory functions;
- review and guide the approach in respect of any disputes with the Regulator
- prepare a report to the Board on Committee meetings; and
- review the Charter of the Board Regulatory Committee on an annual basis.
