TransGrid owns and operates the high voltage electricity transmission network throughout New South Wales.
- Electricity is generated at power stations then transmitted by TransGrid through a 12,000km network of high voltage transmission lines and substations
- The electricity is finally delivered to homes, factories and businesses by electricity distributors such as Integral Energy, EnergyAustralia, and Country Energy
- TransGrid operates the transmission network using state of the art control and monitoring equipment to ensure the highest level of availability and reliability to our high voltage customers
