Yass to Wagga Transmission Line Rebuild

In March 2008, TransGrid began the reconstruction of a 132kV transmission line, running between Yass and Wagga, that was nearing the end of its serviceable life.

The project forms part of TransGrid's $1.2 billion infrastructure program, securing electricity network reliability for New South Wales.

TransGrid is proposing to modernise this stretch of the network by replacing the existing wood pole transmission line with single concrete poles, within the existing easement.

Updated information will continue to be posted on this page as it develops.
