A Review of Environmental Factors (REF) Report on TransGrid’s Tomago to Stroud Project has been placed on public display today.
TransGrid Spokesperson Ms Hannah Dunn said the release of the REF was a milestone in the progress of the Tomago to Stroud Project.
“TransGrid’s Tomago to Stroud Project is an important investment to secure a reliable electricity supply for the region’s future,” said Ms Dunn.
“The Review of Environmental Factors is a detailed document, analysing the Project’s environmental, economic and social factors,” she said.
The report will be on public exhibition for four weeks until Friday 2 December.
As part of its ongoing community consultation process, TransGrid will be holding a Community Information Session at the King Park Function Room in Raymond Terrace on Thursday 17 November.
“Over the next four weeks, we encourage members of the community to review the REF,” said Ms Dunn.
“TransGrid staff will also be available to answer questions at TransGrid’s Newcastle Regional Office and via the Project’s toll-free hotline, 1800 222 537.”
“All submissions should be submitted to TransGrid by 5pm on 2 December 2011.”
