TransGrid is the major transmission network services provider in NSW.
We operate within the National Electricity Market in line with the National Electricity Law and the National Electricity Rules.
Chapter fiver of the rules describes the process to establish or modify a network connection.

In applying the rules, we follow the Connection Guidelines established by Grid Australia aimed at ensuring consistent application of this process across the National Electricity Grid.
These guidelines hope to achieve helpful and detailed communication between connection applicants and the relevant transmission network provider before formal connection enquiries and applications are lodged under the rules. We support and encourage this approach because it enables work to start before connection applications are usually ready to lodge a rules compliant application.
