TransGrid
Our multi-billion dollar capital works program is needed to make sure our transmission network continues to deliver secure, reliable and safe electricity. We also have a major ongoing program of refurbishment and replacement of ageing assets to ensure efficient supply to all customers.

Between 2010 and 2014 we will undertake more than 88 projects across NSW as part of a $2.6 billion capital works program.

The capital works program for the 2004-2009 period was made up of more than 120 major projects costing over $1.2 billion over the period. During the regulatory period the number of active projects grew yearly with more than 60 projects delivered during 2008/09.

The achievement of our capital works targets is a reflection of the skills of our staff in the delivery of these works. Our strategy for strong internal growth sits alongside strategies by our suppliers and contracting partners to grow their capabilities in the delivery of our capital works program.

The past five years have seen strong growth in our internal and external project delivery capabilities and these capabilities form the base from which the 2009-2014 capital program will be delivered with equal success.
