The fire at our Ingleburn substation has been contained and power supply is progressively being restored to affected customers.
TransGrid and fire crews are continuing their investigation into the incident.

TransGrid would like to thank those customers who have been affected for their patience as we understand the importance of restoring supply quickly due to the hot weather. Our staff responded promptly to safely restore power supply as soon as possible.
At approximately 13:45 TransGrid was alerted to an incident at our Ingleburn substation, resulting in a loss of electricity supply to the surrounding area. Staff were sent to site to investigate and identified a fire in the substation yard.
Safety is TransGrid's number one priority. We are working with emergency services and local authorities to safely return supply to customers.
TransGrid has brought 15,000 customers back online and we are working to restore service to the remaining customers as soon possible.
