Step 2: Online selection test

Once applications have closed if you have progressed to the next stage of the recruitment process, you will be emailed an invitation to complete online selection test that can be done in your own time. This test measures your ability relating to the advertised role within the electrical industry as a technical.  All results will remain confidential to Transgrid.

Step 3: Interview and practical assessment

You will receive an email informing of whether you will progress to the next stage. This will involve:

  2. A 30-minute panel interview
  3. A 30-minute practical assessment

Step 4: Pre-employment checks

You will be informed of the outcome of your interview via email or phone. If you are successful you will be subject to Transgrid’s pre-employment assessments, which will include reference checks, criminal history record check, medical check, qualification checks etc.

Note: Not all candidates that go through Stage 4: Pre-employment Assessments will be offered a position.

Step 5: Offer of employment

Upon successful completion of all assessments, you may be contacted to confirm a place in the Apprenticeship Program.

This offer will be formalised with an appointment letter and new starter information package.
