In October 2021, Transgrid established three Community Consultative Groups (CCGs) to encourage and facilitate participation in the HumeLink project. The CCGs ran from October 2021 until March 2024.
You can find more information on CCG in the resources section below.

Transgrid strive to build positive and lasting relationships with our local communities, create tangible benefits to energy consumers, our communities, and the environment as part of our commitment to building a sustainable clean energy future. We have developed a Community Investment and Benefits Plan (CIBP) for the HumeLink project to guide the project team's community investment work within the project footprint, to address identified impacts, deliver social outcomes, benefits, and our commitment to creating positive and lasting relationships with our local communities.
Transgrid is establishing Construction Reference Groups (CRGs) for the duration of the HumeLink project. These groups provide a vital platform for ongoing dialogue between the project team and local communities during the construction phase.
CRGs are made up of community members, as well as representatives from local councils, businesses and First Nations groups, who bring local knowledge and perspectives to the table.
Their role is to:
CRGs complement earlier engagement efforts, such as the Community Consultative Groups (CCGs), by continuing the conversation and ensuring community voices remain central throughout the delivery of HumeLink.
