We engage with the public to ensure the reliable operation of our assets and to safely manage works that take place near them.

Call our emergency number 1800 027 253 whenever you see:

• Fallen powerlines
• Damaged power poles or tower structures
• Vegetation and tree encroachment to powerlines
• Trench collapse or cable damage
• Break and enter to a Transgrid site or transmission tower
• Sparks or fire coming from Transgrid assets
• or other life threatening matters

Do not approach fallen powerlines as these can induce dangerous voltages many metres from the conductor.
