VNI project progresses to provide more clean energy for NSW and the ACT
Civil works have been completed at the Transgrid Stockdill substation in the ACT for the Victoria-NSW Interconnector (VNI) upgrade. The works began in February and have involved 100 people, most of them from the ACT region.

VNI upgrade passes the half way mark, as civil works advance.
TransGrid’s Victoria-NSW Interconnector (VNI) upgrade project, which will increase transfer capacity into NSW from Victoria by 170 megawatts at times of high demand, is now over 55 per cent complete and remains on track for completion this year.
