New South Wales is in deep transition. As we progress from around 40 per cent renewable energy today to around 90 per cent by 2035, Transgrid is delivering the system needed to underpin a modern economy with reliable, affordable and cleaner energy. By the time we reach 2035 in the new transitioned era, NSW’s energy system will look fundamentally different. With more than 80 per cent of NSW’s coal-fired generation retired and new industries emerging, our responsibility is to ensure the grid continues to deliver value, reliability and security to households, businesses and communities.
