The last capacitor bank of the Queensland-NSW Interconnector (QNI) upgrade has now been installed, with the project, started in June 2020, almost 90 per cent complete.

Transgrid has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Charles Sturt University to bring opportunities for students and research as well as helping to create jobs and a substantial economic boost for the Riverina.

Mental health is an important part of our safety culture at Transgrid and we’re delighted to have won the Allan Fels Mental Health Award at the 2021 Australian HR Institute Awards.

Civil works have been completed at the Transgrid Stockdill substation in the ACT for the Victoria-NSW Interconnector (VNI) upgrade. The works began in February and have involved 100 people, most of them from the ACT region.

Transgrid has scored 97 out of 100 points in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) report for 2021.
