Transgrid has been selected by the NSW Government as a member of the five-year Telecommunications Purchasing Arrangements (TPA) panel, with the telecommunications network provider set to offer an alternative network solution for New South Wales Government Agencies across the state.

New South Wales transmission operator TransGrid has opened a tender process to procure at least 40MW of demand management solutions in Sydney’s CBD, with a successful process to defer more than $236 million of network investment – the largest capital expenditure deferral by non-network solutions in Australian history.

TransGrid, the manager and operator of the New South Wales high-voltage electricity transmission network, has appointed Russell Morris as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), reporting to Executive Manager Corporate Services, Chris Pemberton.

Transgrid has announced Mr Jeremy (Jerry) Maycock will join its Board as Chair from 22 February 2018. He succeeds Dr Kerry Schott, who stepped down from the TransGrid Board in August 2017 to chair the newly-created Energy Security Board.
