Experienced energy industry executive Brett Redman has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Transgrid.

Transgrid has published its FY21 Annual Review: Leading the transition to a clean energy future. In another year affected by unprecedented climate events and ongoing disruption from the pandemic, Transgrid has continued to play its central role of delivering electricity reliably and safely to Australian consumers and businesses.

Transgrid’s newly released Energy Vision calls for an orderly transition to renewable energy to underpin a massive expansion of Australia’s manufacturing, enabling communities reliant on fossil fuel jobs to benefit from new opportunities.

Early works activities such as surveying, undergrounding overhead lines and camp construction are being awarded to a range of local, state and interstate businesses offering opportunities for local trades as part of Transgrid’s EnergyConnect Project.
