Social Impact Management Plan

The Social Impact Management Plan (SIMP) outlines the process of managing and monitoring social impacts, as well as identifying opportunities to maximise the social and economic benefits of HumeLink.

The SIMP builds on the management and mitigation measures proposed during the planning phase of the project, including those identified in the project’s Social Impact Assessment.

To seek feedback on the SIMP, the project opened a community survey from 26 January to 9 March 2025, and hosted community drop-in sessions in the Goulburn and Crookwell areas in June and early July 2025.

Community events

We will continue to host and participate in events across the HumeLink East project footprint and wider NSW. We encourage community and businesses to attend any scheduled events that are of interest to you.

On Country experience

This video shares the educative experience that the HumeLink East and Transgrid teams took part in during a visit to Ngunnawal Country in Yass in March 2024. Ngunnawal Traditional Custodians shared stories and information about the culture and history that has shaped the Ngunnawal people’s identity for generations. The video aims to educate the wider Project and connecting communities to the cultural significance of the area that the HumeLink East project is being constructed within.
